What began in 1881 as a little glass factory in Iittala, Finland, has
now become one of the most celebrated glassware names in the world;
celebrated for Scandinavian design integral to a timeless look and aura.

Named for its its Finnish homeland, iittala believe that objects should be distinctive, combinable and
multi-functional, with lasting design that allows for individual use and
expression. The Kastehelmi Plate, designed by Oiva Toikka, was inspired by the pure beauty of nature – the word kastehelmi is Finnish for “dewdrop”, and that’s exactly that this glass bowl sets out to imitate.

Hundreds of bubbles have been pressed in to the colourless glass of this
plate, resembling dew drops sparkling in the dawn sun; this
